April 22 is Earth Day, and individuals, groups, organizations and companies world-wide will be celebrating by taking action and demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability. In fact, people have already promised to commit more than 80,000,000 “acts of green.” What does that mean?
People are promising to do what they can to:
- Reduce pollution and waste
- Use resources like water, food and land more wisely
- Educate others about the importance of environmental sustainability
